Towards the north, the bay road connects to the main road from Vassiliki to Nydri and Lefkas. Nydri is 20 minutes, Lefkas only 35 minutes away. Within 10 minutes a beautiful swimming beach or the town of Vassiliki can be reached. From Vassiliki, where the ferry to Ithaka and Kefalonia departs, the main road follows the west side of the island, with the world famous beaches of Egremni, Katsiki and Kathisma.
A 3 minute walk south brings you to the small village of Sivota with its harbor, for refreshments and its beach for a refreshing dive. The secluded bay of Sivota is protected to the south and provides safe and excellent mooring facilities.
In summer the harbor hosts many sailing yachts and brings taverns to live. Seafood, the Traditional Greek kitchen, an Italian bakery, all available to taste. Various shops offer groceries and daily supplies. In fall and spring the traditional fishing boats color the harbor where the quiet and calm prevails.
Lefkas town is a lively small city, with the main harbor, cafés, tavernas, restaurants, dancing, shopping, markets and so on.
In the direction to Lefkas town, on the east side, the island offers the calm waters of the Ionian sea, the touristic atmosphere of Nydri and of course the main town, with all facilities, harbor, shopping center and night life.
The natural beauty of the island can be explored by car, scooter or by foot on the monopadia. Sightseeing opportunities include ancient excavations, a fortress from the middle ages, the waterfall, world famous beaches, forests and endless bays and views, never failing to astonish the visitor.
Watersports facilities include sailing, paragliding, (kite)surfing and scubadiving.
